  • Tom Marks-Ladd

    BOARD CHAIR

    Tom Marks-Ladd is a husband, father, and friend who lives in Ashland Oregon with his wife and two children.  He enjoys yoga, music, mountain biking, and martial arts.  He is the Founder of Rogue Natural Foods, the Rogue Valley’s only certified organic food distribution center. Tom is a fierce champion of life and the commitment it takes to focus in the age of distraction.  He believes that having the right mix of strength and technique to meet life’s challenges is crucial to being healthy and happy.  Recently, after some deeply challenging personal times, Tom shifted his focus into leadership and mentoring work.

  • Anne Williams

    BOARD VICE CHAIR

    Anne has firmly established her roots in the Rogue Valley for over two decades, where she and her family have thrived. Her household includes her husband, Ron, and two daughters, an two loyal canine companions, Toby and Roxy.

    Professionally, Anne is a seasoned corporate strategist with a diverse background. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and has had a successful career that spans the fields of insurance, real estate, and tax and accounting. Her multifaceted expertise allows her to see opportunities and potential where others might not.

    Beyond her corporate endeavors, Anne finds solace and adventure in two favorite pastimes: crafting and hiking. Her personal goal is to conquer the Oregon Pacific Crest Trail, a journey she eagerly anticipates.

    Mentoring is the cornerstone of Anne’s vision for the future. She firmly believes that today’s youth are the architects of tomorrow. She is dedicated to ensuring that the next generation has caring and compassionate adults in their lives, providing the support and guidance necessary to create the best possible future.

  • Todd Iverson

    BOARD TREASURER

    Todd Iversen joined the Board of Directors in 2016.  With over 15 years in various leadership and management roles in the software industry, Todd brings extensive organizational, operational and financial management skills to Rogue Valley Mentoring.  Having been the beneficiary of many formal and informal mentoring relationships both in his personal and professional life, Todd is passionate about fulfilling and strengthening the agency’s mission to serve the community’s need for youth mentoring in the Rogue Valley.

  • Kellie England

    BOARD SECRETARY

    Kellie England joined the RV Mentoring Board of Directors in 2022 and is excited to work with the organization. Previously, Kellie spent 12 years working with a Sacramento, California-based non-profit, Women’s Empowerment, which focuses on job readiness for homeless women and children.  While there, she was a mentor to homeless women, as well as served various Board of Directors positions, including Secretary, Vice President, President, and past-President.

    Kellie leads Member Experience at Rogue Credit Union, including branches, the contact center, and remote delivery. She is new to the Rogue Valley, and is enjoying the new landscape.  Kellie has over 30 years of experience in financial services.  Before Rogue Credit Union, she led the branch network in California and Nevada for Umpqua Bank.

    Outside work, Kellie enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs.

  • Jessica Therkelsen

    BOARD MEMBER

    Jessica Therkelsen is a strategist and human rights lawyer who advocates for the rights of all persons, regardless of migration status. She believes deeply that equitable organizations share power and insert transparency in every process and decision. Jessica currently serves as Director of Legal Protection at HIAS, where she works to ensure refugees have access to their rights, no matter where they are. As the Director of the Pro Bono Justice Program at OneJustice, she organized life changing legal services for travelers trapped by the 2017 travel bans, survivors of 2017 wildfires across California, DACA recipients losing status, and immigrants seeking defense from deportation. As Global Director of Advocacy and Communications at Asylum Access, an international refugee rights nonprofit, Jessica worked closely with leaders in refugee response at the UN – and in the US, Ecuador, Tanzania, Thailand and Malaysia – to advocate for systems, laws and policies that help refugees build a new life. Her work has focused on access to jobs and labor protections for refugees around the world.

    Jessica is currently a Tutor at the University of London, and has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco, School of Law (USF Law). She received her JD and Honors Certificate in International Law from USF Law, and her BA from the University of California, Irvine. She has been named one of the American Bar Association’s 2016 Top 40 Young Lawyers on the Rise.

  • Bea Bacher-Wetmore

    BOARD MEMBER

    Bea came to Ashland in 2015, following 5 years living in Ecuador. With her 2 adopted boys now adults, she still wanted to engage with youngsters. She’s been a volunteer mentor  for Rogue Valley Mentoring for a young lady for 3 years now, and is enjoying watching her grow up.  Bea decided to also volunteer as an RVM Board Member in Summer, 2023.

    Her background is in biology, in biomedical research, and she spent 3 years teaching biology at the high school level in Oakland, California. She continues to share her enthusiasm with her husband in reading, cooking, art, exercising, and tending to their dog and cat.

  • Adam Bowers

    BOARD MEMBER

    Adam is currently part of Vuori's Data and Analytics team, where he collaborates with stakeholders to harness and interpret organizational data. His professional journey reflects his tenacity and adaptability, rising through the retail ranks at Sur La Table—from seasonal sales associate to retail business analyst in the corporate office. Before entering the business world, Adam proudly served as a Corporal in the Marine Corps, honing leadership and mentorship skills in roles such as team leader, training NCO, and machine gunner.

    Outside of work, Adam is a triathlon athlete and an advocate for mindfulness, regularly engaging in meditation to cultivate balance and personal growth. His values of self-reflection, collective support, and conscious living resonate deeply with RVM's mission to empower youth.

    Adam brings a unique perspective shaped by his experience mentoring transitioning veterans and his involvement in student organizations during college. He understands the importance of guiding young people to explore their individuality, navigate life’s challenges, and build meaningful relationships.

  • Martha Kalin

    BOARD MEMBER

    Martha joins the RVM Board after retiring and moving to the Rogue Valley to join her daughter and grandchildren in Ashland in 2022. She brings with her more than 40 years of professional experience working to improve services for the vulnerable and disenfranchised in health care and non-profit settings. She has served in a range of roles including as social worker, leader in program development and strategic planning for Kaiser Permanente, and helping manage a yoga retreat center in the Colorado Rockies. She holds master’s degrees in social work and public health from the University of Michigan.

    In addition to enjoying time with her family and getting to know the beauty of Oregon, Martha is a published poet, enthusiastic pickleball player and world adventurer. She’s passionate about the power of mentoring in supporting youth in local communities.
